Amidst the rivers and valleys that shape the landscape of the North and Center of the country, VINUM EXPERIENCES discoveres historic Quintas (wine estates) that preserve a singular heritage, as well as discrete hideaways, planted among the vineyards of Douro, Dão, Minho, Bairrada, and Trás-os-Montes. In these hidden treasures that award-winning wines are born and most exclusive reserves are preserved.

In order to explore and feel the heart and history of these demarcated regions, VINUM EXPERIENCES organizes personalized trips, tailore maded to each client and their guests. We are designed for small, curious, and passionate groups who seek more than just a wine tasting: they seek a total immersion.

Deeply rooted in Portugal’s legacy and immersed in the culture of Portugal’s unique Terroirs, Gino communicates with you in English, Italian, or Portuguese, but also has a good understanding of Spanish and French, so that everyone feels welcome.

“After a corporate life dedicated to the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries as a Chemical Engineer, I fell in love with Wine, the aroma of the land, and the perfume of the vineyards—delightful in the air you breathe but also in the landscape.”

“I have Italian and Brazilian origins, and I have lived in Brazil, Ecuador, and South Africa, but it was in Portugal that I found the most marvelou natives grape varieties and a traditional and truly genuine wine and gastronomic culture, which have made me feel at home since the very first day.”

Gino’s connection to wine is driven by passion as well as by study. He attended several courses with the WSET and a Master’s Degree in Viticulture and Enology Engineering at ISA (Higher Institute of Agronomy in Lisbon), in addition he has been a member of a prestigious wine tasting club in South Africa (Johannesburg).
